Your Custom Art Commission: How to Order
Important Note on Subject, Style, and Imagery:
I create original works and explore a range of styles, including realism, abstract, and non-objective. I specialize in combining realistic elements with imaginative components, such as creative creatures or abstract environments.
-
Reference Imagery: My work is based only on high-quality, self-taken images of landscapes, people, animals, or objects.
-
Copyright: I do not accept requests for designs based on copyrighted images.
-
Inspiration vs. Copying: If you have other works of art or imagery that you find interesting or inspiring, please share them so I can understand your aesthetic. However, I cannot copy the work of another artist or replicate a specific piece of copyrighted material. I will use provided images as inspiration to create a unique piece in my own style.
Step 1: Submit Your Commission Request Form
The process begins with the Commission Request Form. This form helps me understand your specific vision and provide you with an accurate quote.
In your request, please include the following essential details about your idea:
-
Subject: Who or what will be the focus? (e.g., a pet portrait, an abstract landscape, a specific object, or a figure interacting with a creature).
-
Style & Colors: Do you prefer realism, abstraction, non-objective work, or a blend of styles? Are there specific colors or moods you want to convey?
-
Size: The approximate dimensions you are envisioning (e.g., 8x10 inches, 16x20 inches).
-
Materials: Please choose from the professional mediums I offer: Oil, Acrylic, Charcoal, Graphite, or Colored Pencils.
-
Reference Photos: Please attach the high-resolution, self-taken photos you would like me to work from (if applicable).
Step 2: Quote, Deposit, and Timeline
Once I receive your request, I will review all the details and send you a customized quote.
-
Pricing: Prices will vary based on the complexity of the subject, the total size of the artwork, and the time and materials required.
-
Deposit: To secure your spot and begin work, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit. This confirms your commitment and covers the initial cost of design and materials.
-
Deposit Estimate: Depending on the project's scope, your deposit will likely range from $75 to $300 (or more for larger pieces). The exact amount will be confirmed in your quote.
-
-
Timeline: Most paintings and drawings require a creation time of 2–4 weeks, depending on the size and current queue. This will be confirmed in your quote.
Step 3: Collaboration and Completion
-
Check-In Photo: I will send you a check-in photo halfway through the process. This is your opportunity to provide feedback on the overall direction, color, and composition.
-
Final Approval: Once the artwork is complete, I will send a final, high-resolution photo for your approval.
